Q: What is STLC?
A: STLC (Software Test Life Cycle) is a process where a responsible person write a document to describe a plan for testing program from initial phase to final phase according to requirement with time by time as per written steps in STLC.
Main thing about STLC is to create structure for completing testing process. Before testing the program a complete scenario is needed about testing process where environment will be written.
Simply can say it is a software test life cycle where is need to make plan/strategy about the whole verification process.
With a simple example, like STLC model is required related to a project so from now responsible person will go develop this model where each step will be written from initial to final phase. In steps particular section will be described such as “Scope, Testing Environment, Time, Schedule, Cost, Team Members and Final Phase” then model will be followed by assigned team members.
STLC Cycle Phases : >> 1. SRS
2. Test Plan
3. Test Cases Design
4. Test Cases Execution
5. Log Defects
6. Release Defects Report
7. Implementation/Maintenance
